| Mama's, don't let your babies grow up to be cowgirls! "Girlz in Black Hats" isn't your ordinary country band. But then again, it doesn't wanna be. Their motto, "Cowgirls Lead . . . Cowboys Follow" pretty much sums up their attitude, as well as the direction that they're taking with their music. These gals aren't taking a back-saddle to any cowboy, as they blaze their own trail with confidence and determination. Their youthful exuberance and high energy, embraced by their love of country music, allows them to freely explore the 'cowgirl way'. Independent? Hell yeah! A little edgy, you bet! There's always at least one of 'em with a chip on her shoulder. Let's don't even go there! On stage, they can put you on the edge of your seat with an upbeat fiddle ballad like "The Devil Went Down to Georgia", only to bring you crashing to your knees with the charm of an "Unchained Melody." On one hand they might hint "Cowboy, Take Me Away", only to later declare that their "Give A Damn's Busted!" Their moods can change on a dime, but one thing always stays constant ------ their dedication to their country roots and the music that they love. |
